Three Out Of Three For the Bhoys

Lansdowne Bhoys 3-1 Doxa FC

A determined performance by the Bhoys is dreadful conditions at Tibbetts Park Saturday night.

It was a scrapy first half with the Bhoys playing the better football, against a hard working Doxa side who were desperate for points, it was Guirassy who gave Lansdowne the lead on 25 minutes when good work by Oakley and zargas allowed the space for Guirassy to run onto and shoot low into the bottom left corner.

Lansdowne kept pressing for goals and McCann and Holzer both had shots saved by the keeper while both Purcell and Oakley had chances at the front post from driven crosses, Doxa then had a good 10 minute spell were they forced Bhoys goalie Kabo into 2 good saves bit a third shot hit with venom from 25 yards slipped into the bottom left corner, one each at the break.

The second half was a similar affair with the Bhoys having the bulk of possession but Doxa never gave up trying to catch Lansdowne on the counter.

Coach Friel introduced, Kavanagh, Lopez and Lobe, all attacking players with Kavanagh returning from injury, immediately they had an effect causing all sorts of problems in Doxas final third, The Bhoys finally got number 2 from a croner that was fired home from 6 yards by Craig Purcell.

Shortly after it was 3-1 and once again it was Guirassy using his strength and speed to get past the last man and blast how low into the net from 12 yards. Doxa kept pressing for the final 15 but it was Lansdowne sub, Coffey who had the last real chance of the game but he was denied by the Doxa Keeper

Coach Friel will now set up for next weeks match v NYAC and also start preparing for the Lamar Hunt first round on the 9th of May.

Lansdowne Bhoys Res 11-1 Doxa FC Res

The Bhoys Reserves were on fire in the opening game at Tibbetts playing a high tempo quick passing game that put Doxa on the back foot rite away,

Lansdowne were 3 up with in 15 minutes and never took the foot of the gas going in at halftime, 6-1 up.

They started the second half in the same fashion again giving Doxa no time on the ball and attacking at pace, the Bhoys would add 5 more goals in the second half with big performances from Fernandez, Mora, Chamorro and Pinski.

Coach Kenny will now look to keep on winning ways next week and prepare to win the league title back that they lost to NYAC last year.

BW Gottchee 0-1 Lansdowne Bhoys Metro

Another fine win by our Metro Bhoys in the Sunday fixture over a high flying Gottchee team.

The Bhoys with a weakened team played well throughout and had to wait till the end to get the winning goal shot home from 6 yards by Matt Salerno.

Coach ODriscoll was delighted by his teams run of form and is now looking forward to a midweek league game and state cup semi final.
